Job Title: Temporary Lockbox Processor - Bank of Nevada

Job Description:

The position of Temporary Lockbox Support Representative is responsible for processing all Lockbox transactions; logging and tracking all Lockbox mail; sorting, opening and verifying mail; monitoring Lockbox mail for changes. The incumbent will perform related duties to include the efficient and timely operation of Item Processing Transport machine and mail Opener machine.  The assignment will last for approximately three (3) months.  Assures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as, all applicable state and federal banking regulations.  Hours are M – F, 8a-5p.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); plus three (3) or more years of related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.  Work related experience should consist of an efficient operation of item processing equipment and Lockbox background.  Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, should be business or financial industry related.  Intermediate experience in the operation of item processing transport machine and mail opener machine.  Proven experience in processing checks.  Basic knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations, and other Bank operational policies.  Intermediate skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; mainframe computer (ITI) system; and word processing, (e.g., Microsoft Word and Excel, etc.).  Excellent 10 key by touch skills with a minimum of 10,000 accurate key strokes per hour.  Typing skills to meet production needs of the position.  Basic math skills; calculate interest and balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors.  Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, and speak clearly to customers and employees.  Ability to deal with routine problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.  Effective organizational and time management skills.  Ability to work with general supervision while performing duties.
